The picture-postcard village of Poughill nestles peacefully in the Cornish countryside with St Olaf’s church at its centre and the village pub, which is both family and dog friendly inside and out, just a gentle stroll away. The rustle of the trees are what lull guests to sleep here, before waking to the sound of birdsong. The ocean playground that is Cornwall’s north coast, and the seaside town of Bude, is walkable from the property or it’s just a short drive away if little legs can’t cope.

The vast living space, with its sumptuous velvet sofa and easy chairs, is wonderfully open plan so everyone feels included and the area is flooded with natural light. The kitchen is a chef’s dream, modern and
well-equipped, with an island breakfast bar. Bedrooms are havens of neutral calm with sink-into beds for sound sleeps after busy days.
STEP OUTSIDE
It’s simplicity itself to let the outside flood in to Lowenna, courtesy of bi-fold doors that open out onto an expansive deck and the pretty garden beyond. With mature planting surrounding the property and a lovely level lawn, here you can enjoy a morning coffee, a sundowner or some al fresco dining in peaceful privacy, with just the sound of the babbling stream for company.
VENTURE FORTH
You only need step out of the front door to access some pretty countryside walks in and around Poughill. A little further afield, Bude’s beaches invite surf days and rockpooling aplenty, with the town’s iconic sea pool a must for budding mermaids. For golf fans, there are local links in Bude and the South West Coast Path offers endless miles of exploration in
both directions.

walk-in shower, one king bedroom and one twin bedroom. There is a family bathroom on the first floor and an additional downstairs toilet.

Families with young children are very welcome and the house is geared towards this, including provision of a travel cot, stair gate and high chair.
