You’ll find Widemouth Bay a little off the beaten track, tucked away from the main bustle of Bude, but with its own distinct holiday appeal. If you want to access the town, it’s only a short drive away but many opt to spend their days close by, enjoying the beach and the plethora of local amenities. Ocean lovers couldn’t ask for more with a surfbreak on the doorstep, For adventures on two feet the South West Coast Path is just steps away and the endless delights of the north Cornwall coast are just around the corner waiting to be discovered.
WELCOME INSIDE
Classically Cornish in its design, West Haven is a stunning holiday home right at the heart of Widemouth Bay. The modern shaker-style kitchen shares enchanting views out across the Atlantic ocean with the dining room. The large sitting room, with feature fireplace and a flood of natural light, is a place to gather to share the day’s adventures. Children get their own den, complete with snooker table and table football to keep them entertained. Bedrooms are spacious and tranquil with four of the five rooms being en-suite.
STEP OUTSIDE
With a lawn that would do justice to Andy Murray’s forehand, the gardens are the perfect place to sit and take in the wonderful sea air if you decide that the minute walk to the beach is really just too strenuous. Dogs are welcomed with open arms here and have plenty of outdoor space to run around, while you watch from the terrace with a glass of something chilled in hand.
VENTURE FORTH
With an excellent restaurant, gastro pub (offering fish and chips takeaway in season) and village shop with fresh fish counter all conveniently located within the Bay, you can spend your time relaxing and unwinding in luxury without having to stray too far from the cottage. The beach is world-renowned for its surfbreak meaning this area is perfect for thrill seekers and lounge lizards alike!

The location of this house could not be more perfect. The house itself is fantastic. Lots of space and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable and the garden was brilliant for the kids and dogs. We had a great stay and would highly recommend.
It is always with apprehension that you book something online when you are looking to cater for a family that includes all ages. We were not disappointed. When your wife first surveys the property on arrival and says she would book it again tomorrow, you know it's absolutely right.
The whole family enjoyed their stay at West Haven. It was very clean and spacious. The house is suitable for all ages; we were a party of three generations and the house catered for all our needs which made it the perfect holiday. Where the house is situated made it easy for traveling around north Cornwall.We also went for long walks along the shore line which was just across the road
from the house.
