Down House couldn’t be better positioned for those that love to holiday by the ocean. Stroll for just a few minutes from this elegant holiday home and the delights of Crooklets Bay reveal themselves. Rocky outcrops on either end provide endless rock pooling opportunities while an expanse of golden sand at low tide allows for beach strolls, bathing or simply setting down a rug and relaxing. Away from the water, Bude offers fine dining and boutique shopping while the surrounding area has much to explore.
WELCOME INSIDE
The facade is dignified and elegant, echoed by its interior décor and furnishings. A feeling of understated calm is created by the use of earth tones, natural stone and wood. An open-plan orangery invites hours of endless chatting or dining in style, all warmed by a rotating wood burner. The kitchen is vast and replete with modern equipment. Bedrooms are tranquil havens of comfy beds and crisp linen and a ground floor double bedroom is ideal for anyone with walking or mobility problems.
STEP OUTSIDE
Perfectly positioned to catch the evening sun, the level front and rear gardens invite you to pause awhile with a glass of something chilled at the end of a summer’s day. Pretty planting and mature borders surround luscious lawns, ideal for a good-old fashioned game of bat and ball.

From Bude’s beaches and its iconic sea pool to the miles of South West Coast Path just waiting to be explored, you can spend endless days outdoors, every day different. Down House has one super king bedroom, one king bedroom with en-suite with shower, one double bedroom with en-suite with shower, a further double bedroom on the ground floor and a four-bedded bunk room. A family bathroom with cast iron bath and shower, separate wet room with toilet and a downstairs shower room completes the picture.
LIVING AND DINING
Dining takes place in the orangery around a large farmhouse table. The spacious kitchen, with island worktop, houses an American style fridge freezer, a vast Rangemaster oven and microwave. There is also a washing machine and dishwasher here in addition to a Belfast sink in the utility room and separate tumble drier.

Families with young children are very welcome and the house is geared towards this, including provision of a travel cot, stair gate and high chair.

DISABILITY ACCESS
With a ground floor double bedroom and nearby full shower room the house is ideal for those who have difficulty with stairs but sadly it is not suitable for a wheelchair.
