Aaloka is an exquisite home, designed specifically with family holidays in mind, offering the best of both worlds when it comes to location. It's just a 15-minute stroll to Summerleaze Beach and the seaside of town of Bude, where every turn offers something new to discover. Aaloka nestles on the periphery of Lower Upton overlooking lush Cornish countryside, where birdsong accompanies the murmur of the
sea-breeze in the trees. Family owned, every detail has been thought of to ensure Aaloka is the kind of self catering sanctuary that makes a holiday here one to treasure for generations.
WELCOME INSIDE
Aaloka combines clean lines and modern facilities with a unique Sri Lankan flavour found in its artworks and furnishings. The exquisite open plan living space boasts an impressive atrium and skywalk above the dining area. Relaxation comes in the form of sink-into sofas around a warming woodburner; select a book from the well-stocked library and while away a peaceful hour. Bedrooms are havens, some with impressive skylights for stargazing. The children's bunk rooms are made for adventure with ladders leading to secret mezzanines hosting hammocks for lazing about in.
STEP OUTSIDE
Aaloka's owners worked tirelessly with their architects to ensure that the exterior of this impressive building was at peace with the local vernacular. The result is nothing short of breathtaking. Sliding doors from the living area give access to an expansive terrace were pre-bbq drinks can be enjoyed. Little ones have the thrill of a slide into the garden where a trampoline and playhouse awaits. Beach days and cliff top rambles are a must here, meaning the outside shower certainly comes in handy for muddy boots and salty toes and a handy store keeps beach and surf paraphernalia safe.
VENTURE FORTH
This area of Cornwall is fast becoming one of the most sought after in the Duchy. Long stretches of sand line the coast, inviting all manner of seaside adventures. Upton beach is closest to Aaloka, while Crooklets, a little further away, is backed by brightly coloured beach huts reminiscent of holidays of yesteryear. Bude's infamous and iconic sea pool provides safe bathing when the sea proves too rough, and on non-beach days a stroll around the town of Bude will satisfy the most discerning shopper. The South West Coast Path offers forays on foot in both directions, while for family days out further afield, the world of the wider north Cornish coast is your oyster.

There are five bedrooms in total. On the ground floor there is a guest room with double bed and en-suite bathroom. This room has disabled access.

LIVING AND DINING
The kitchen has two ovens and a large American-style fridge-freezer, an induction hob, toaster and kettle and two dishwashers. There is an adjacent laundry with two washing machines and a tumble drier. The open-plan living area has a log burning stove, piano and a library.

There is a BBQ, and plenty of of outdoor furniture for al fresco dining. There's a secure store with can be used for wetsuits and surfboards along with an outdoor shower to rinse off post-beach. There is a trampoline, slide and children's playhouse in the garden.
