Most dogs will enjoy a long walk, to some extent. Below you’ll find a little selection of delightful dog-friendly walks and beaches for the whole family to enjoy. Bude is an outstanding area with a plethora of adventures to be had that are on the doorstep of most of our stays.
Bude Canal Walk - This stroll is ideal for those that don’t fancy walking up and down too many hills. Taking in the expanse of Bude, this is a lovely walk for the whole family.
Bude to Crackington Haven - This walk is a little longer than the above. And is nothing short of spectacular! Enjoying new vistas at every turn for all to enjoy.
As with any beaches, we recommend double checking the local pages to see what rules are in place for dogs in and out of season. In Bude we are lucky to have a wide selection of beaches, so you will always find somewhere to run the dog while the sun goes down. Here are a few of our favourites:
Northcott Mouth Beach
Black Rock Beach
The safety of yourself and your pooch is paramount. Read the warnings before visiting any beaches, keep an eye on the tides, and don’t swim unless there is a lifeguard present. Check out this handy guide from the South West Coast Path Association.
Tregenna House - This luxury retreat will enchant all who stay here. Just minutes from the beach! The perfect stay for the whole family.
Chi An Mor - After family days spent exploring the rugged north Cornish coast, where better to retreat than a contemporary seaside home at the heart of the bay.
Chi An Treth - Sister property to Chi An Mor. Just moments from the beach, truly! This home away from home will provide such a relaxing stay for all.
